Alumex develops and manufactures Aluminum extrusions for an extensive range of applications. It is a licensed manufacturer of Aluminum Profiles for Global brands and is ISO 9001: 2015 and SLSI certified. Alumex is a fast-growing business corporate in the construction industry in Sri Lanka and is planning to expand its operations in the South Asian Region whilst increasing its export market presence. Applications are called from suitable candidates to fill the following vacancy at our manufacturing facility at Sapugaskanda, Makola.

Quality Assurance Executive – Export Products

Job Summary: Responsible to achieve quality assurance operational objectives which are related to product and processes of export orders under all brands by assuring final product quality through adherence to process and product parameters within standards and contributing to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans, quality, and customer-service standards; identifying and resolving problems; completing audits; determining system improvements; and implementing change.

The main job functions of this position will include,

  • Administrate Incoming Inspection procedures by conforming to specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and complying with international customer requirements. 
  • Validate quality processes by establishing product specifications and quality attributes, documenting evidence, determining operational and performance qualifications.
  • Assure process parameters are according to the Quality plan or Control plan.
  • Assure the Calibration and verification in all measuring equipment and process equipment are according to the calibration list. 
  • Ensure document management procedure is followed according to the company quality management system. 
  • Design and execute control systems to increase the quality of the product and process improvement

We seek a dedicated, result-oriented young individual with the highest level of leadership, commitment, communication skills, and sound personal attributes for the aforementioned position. Candidate should possess:

  • B. Sc. Degree in Production / Mechanical / Process Engineering or B.Sc. (Physical Science) degree from a recognized University 
  • Minimum 3 years’ working experience in a similar capacity in a manufacturing industry. 
  • Knowledge in ISO 9001:2015, QMS documentation & related procedure will be a distinct advantage. 
  • Excellent Interpersonal, Communication, Leadership & Analytical skills.
  • Analytical and logical thinking, communication skills
